Spain's government approved the sale of satellite operator Hispasat

The Spanish government approved a plan to sell the local infrastructure company Abertis, which controls located in the Madrid company Hispasat, is the operator of satellite communication. One of the bidders for the company is the Italian motorway operator Atlantia. However, there are other companies, interested in acquiring the assets of Abertis.
It is not entirely clear, whether the Spanish government put some conditions on the final transaction - taking into account the strategic importance of the company Hispasat and the, that satellite capacity is used for defense purposes.
Press secretary of the Spanish Government 26 January made a special statement on the fact of approval of a possible sale of the company, pointing out, that the decision "gives the company Atlantia opportunity to compete for this asset".
Rival company Atlantia in the battle for the right to purchase a company Abertis Hochtief - a German subsidiary of the Spanish company ACS. Earlier, the Spanish government authorized the company Hochtief involved in the transaction.
