Brazilian channel TV Record finished the distribution of a program as SD on satellite Astra 2G (28,2°E).
For several days in orbital position of 28.2°E being broadcast exclusively in HD. The transition Record TV to broadcast in high definition affected not only Brazil, but also in Europe. The German TV station TecTime has made changes in satellite distribution of its program.
Broadcasting has been switched from HD to standard resolution (SD). This has improved the technical quality of the image. The station originally broadcast in HD 1280×720 (720p) MPEG-4/H. 264 video bitrate around 1,5 Mbit/s and sound 128 kbit/s (MPEG). Currently, the program broadcasts in 720×576 (576(I)) MPEG-4/H. 264 with low bit rate video 1 Mbit/s and sound only 112 kbit/s (MPEG). TecTime focuses on TV viewers, looking for a program about the technique. The station offers reviews, interview, represents production companies, informs about the exhibitions and answering technical questions.Previously the canal operated under the name of Dr. Dish Television.
